To welcome, include, and accompany LGBTQ+ Catholics and persons of all religious traditions on their faith journeys.

This faith sharing group is for anyone who identifies himself/herself as gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transsexual and who celebrates Catholicism as his or her religious tradition of choice.

The Gifted and Called Faith Sharing Group provides an opportunity to deepen faith and develop friendships within the Catholic parishes here in the desert communities of the Coachella Valley.

The organization emerged out of a 2006 Gifted and Called Retreat which was inspired by the pastoral recommendations of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ document entitled, “Always Our Children,” which states, “you are a child of God, gifted and called for a purpose in God’s design.”

We exist for the experience of spiritual growth which transforms and moves us beyond ourselves in the service of others and we welcome all to share in prayerful celebration and contemplation, learning, social action, healing, and hospitality.
